What is the difference between curtains and drapes?
Curtains are usually unlined and are perfect for creating a semi-formal or casual look. Drapes are usually lined and create a formal look.

How do I choose what color curtain to purchase?
Any color decorative window treatment that you choose will add to the overall décor of your room. Try matching the color of your walls for a tone on tone effect. If your walls are neutral, try adding a pop of color. We offer a large assortment of solid colors, classic stripes and beautiful florals to reflect your personal style.

Why does Curtainworks sell single curtain panels, rather than pairs?
Decorators, interior designers, and DIYers often need more than just a pair of curtains to customize the look they are trying to achieve. If you are trying to achieve greater fullness, or are decorating non-standard width windows, you can better customize your look in buying singles vs. pairs. A majority of our curtains are "full width," which means 50+ inches wide (mass market panels are typically only 40+ inches wide).

How do I select a curtain fabric?
Determine what your needs are for a particular room, what types of fabric you prefer and if want lined or unlined curtains. Laces and sheers are light and airy, while heavier cottons and silks create a warmer look.

What types of fabrics are used in your window treatments?
Our curtains are made from easy-care fabrics such as cotton, polyester and washable silk.

How do I select a curtain style for my room?
Think about the function of your room and decide whether you want a formal, semi-formal or casual look. Formal window treatments, found in dining rooms and living rooms, are usually layered and made from heavy fabrics. Scarf treatments or valances create a semi-formal or casual look.

Can I change my curtains according to the seasons?
We offer a wide variety of ready-made curtains at competitive prices which makes it easy and affordable to create a fresh look and feel in your room. Try using heavier, dark colored fabrics in the fall and winter for a warm effect. In the spring and summer, brighten up your room with lace or sheer fabrics.

I want my curtains to be the focal point of my room. How can I keep them from looking ordinary?
You can easily add originality and style to your window décor by using a decorative hardware rod set with ornamental finials. Try using stylish drapery holdbacks and finials, ornamental scarf holder rings, or decorative drapery clip rings. We offer a large assortment of window hardware constructed of easy-care materials.

How do I measure for my curtains or drapes?
Purchase panels that measure two-and-a-half times the width of the window. For added fullness, use three times the width. The bottom edge of your curtain or drape should fall to the window sill, below the sill, or to the floor. Leave about ½” of clearance if you opt for floor length. How do I know what size curtain rod to purchase?
Be sure to measure the window width. We offer three sizes of decorative curtain rod sets that adjust to fit windows ranging from 28 inches to 48 inches wide; 48 inches to 86 inches wide; or 66 inches to 120 inches wide. The diameter of the rod you purchase will depend on the width of the curtain’s rod pocket.

How do I clean my curtains?
Our curtains are constructed of easy-care materials and are machine washable. Please follow our care instructions to extend the life of your curtains.

How can I prevent my curtains from fading?
Be sure to follow the care instructions on your curtains. You can also use a blind or shade with your window treatment to reduce sunlight. Purchasing lined curtains will also minimize fabric fading.

How do I look up my order online?
Log into your account and enter the order number you received from our order confirmation email.

Can I ship to a different address other than my billing address?
Yes - when you are on the check out page, you will be able to enter a different shipping address for your order.

Can I cancel or change my order?
We make every effort to ship 90% of our orders out the next business day. If you ordered in error, or would like to make a change to your order, please call us at 1-888-737-5740 and we will assist you.

How do I track my order?
When your order is shipped you will be sent a Fed Ex tracking number via email. Log onto the Fed Ex website at http://fedex.com/Tracking to track your order.

Will everything I ordered be shipped together?
Items ordered together may be shipped separately.

I placed my order but need to change the shipping address. How can I do that?
Please call us at 1-888-737-5740 or email us at customerservice@curtainworks.com and we will change the shipping address (if your order has not already shipped).

I have not received an email from you regarding my order?
Please check your account information on our website to make sure we have the correct email address. Check your spam folder on your email account to make sure our email is not routed there. You will want to add us to your contact names if this is happening.

I want to cancel my order, but it has already shipped. What do I do?
Once you receive your order you may return it using the return instructions found here or on the packing slip enclosed with your order.

Can I return part of the items I bought in a set?
No, items bought in a set must be kept intact. You would need to return the entire set.

I received a defective item, what should I do?

Do you offer coupons or promotional codes?
Occasionally we do offer a special discount or promotion code. Check our website often or sign up for our newsletter to receive special offers.

Do you ship products internationally?
Yes, via Bongo International. Please visit our shipping policy section for more information.

Can I place an order by mail?
We do not accept orders through the mail. This is to protect your personal and credit card information.

Is there a limit as to how many products I can purchase?
We reserve the right to limit quantities purchased.

How do I change my personal information?
Log onto your account on our website and you will be able to edit or change your information.

How long will it take you to respond to my email?
We will respond to your email within 24 hours of receiving it. We will respond on the first business day for emails received over the weekend. This could also vary depending on holidays and seasonal schedules.

What information do you store in “my account”?
For your convenience, once you create an account on our site, we will store your name, address, phone number, email address, user name and password for future use.

Why isn’t my credit card information saved and available when I log onto my account?
We only use your credit card information for the processing of payment. For your security, we will not store any credit card information including any or all of the credit card number in our database. Further, we will not sell, store, share or provide your credit card information to anyone.

Payment Information

What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard and American Express. There will be a hold placed on your credit card for the total order amount, but your card will not be charged until your order ships. If your credit card does not approve the charge, your order will be cancelled. We do not accept checks (personal or certified), money orders, or debit cards.

Is my payment information secure?
All information including payment information is strictly private. We use the latest encryption software to ensure none of your information can be read over the Internet.
